Intensive outpatient program - Coming Soon!
Intensive outpatient treatment is an intermediate level of care and is suited to meet a variety of patients needs:
- An entry point into substance abuse treatment.
- A step-down level of care for those individuals who are coming out of residential or inpatient care.
- A step-up level of care for those individuals who are currently unsuccessful in outpatient care, methadone maintenance, or other community care.
Intensive outpatient treatment attempts to address the following general goals:
- Achieving abstinence.
- Fostering behavioral changes that support abstinence and a healthy lifestyle.
- Facilitating active participation in community-based support systems (e.g., 12-step fellowship).
- Assisting individuals in identifying and addressing a wide range of psychosocial problems (e.g., housing, employment, adherence to probation requirements).
- Assisting individuals in developing a positive support system.
- Improving individuals' problem solving skills and coping strategies.
This program provides frequent contact (3-4 evenings per week) and will continue anywhere from several weeks to several months, depending on the needs of the individual.
